About This Policy Area

Northpointe's Infection Control & Safety policies establish the standards all network providers must follow to prevent and control the spread of infectious disease within service settings. These policies address hand hygiene, environmental cleaning, isolation procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment to safeguard both recipients and staff.

In addition to infection prevention, this policy area covers bloodborne pathogen protocols, workplace safety requirements under applicable OSHA standards, and emergency preparedness expectations. Providers are expected to maintain current written plans, conduct required training, and document compliance in accordance with Northpointe's contract requirements.
